Malcolm & Yanet Taylor Biography
Malcolm & Yanet Taylor and together with Patricia and Samuel are a family serving God with Youth With A Mission, YWAM, in the Dominican Republic. Together they are leaders with a commitment to do God's will in all areas, both spiritually and physically, to reach lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ, with a focus of empowering and mobilizing young people for missionary work.
In 1993, Malcolm, an Electrical Engineer, was sent as a young man from Wareham, UK, to begin a missionary journey with Youth With A Mission, YWAM. It all started with a six month YWAM training course called the Discipleship Training School. The first half was held at the YWAM UK headquarters in Harpenden and an outreach to Bogota, Colombia. There he received his missionary calling to follow the footsteps of Abram and ‘leave my father’s household and GO to the land that He shows me’. More than twenty fruitful years later, including serving for 10 years in the Mercy Ships ministry, he is still on that missionary journey having traveled extensively to more 35 countries over six continents and conducting ministry into countries such as, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Philippines, Haiti, Mexico and now in the Dominican Republic.
In 2011 his missionary journeys took him to San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic to pioneer a new YWAM ministry location. There God united Malcolm with his wife, Yanet, and today has two beautiful children, Patricia and Samuel with a long term calling to be a family in ministry. In the six years of directing this ministry Malcolm successful hosted the Homes of Hope program where they welcomed short term teams to build homes for needy families. Over 160 homes have been built by youth groups, Church groups, school groups, sports teams and companies who utilize this program as a corporate team building activity.
Yanet, a medical doctor and couple’s therapist, came to Christ in 1997 and ever since has a heart to serve Him. Through her medical work she has taught clinics on sexually transmitted diseases and run medical outreaches to poor neighborhoods. She has served the local Church as a deacon, youth leader and prayer warrior for her city. Yanet has been a host and producer of many local radio and TV programs in both the Christian and secular world. More recently Yanet has been ministering to couples through conferences sharing the importance of healthy and fun relationships.
They are committed to ministering where people can:

Lead a productive life of fulfillment spiritually, mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically.

Today the Taylor family is leading a new phase in their ministry into the heart of the city of San Pedro de Macoris.
